WEEK 5 – HIGHLIGHTS

Street Fighter League: Pro-EUROPE 2023 - Week #5 Highlights

You missed the conclusion of the Street Fighter League: Pro-EUROPE 2023’s going phase? No worries, here’s a brief recap so you can be up to speed with the latest results of the competition. Spoiler alert: a lot has happened!

00NATION vs. BK ROG

The first match saw two promising teams that put up a great show last week: 00NATION Vs. BK ROG. Despite notable actions from Luffy’s team, the Norwegians won the game, securing 30 points.

During this match, one player particularly shone: Lord_Venom. Against NassimClawn, he made short work of his opponent and proved he was capable of matching his teammate, the incredible Phenom. Overall, he showcased some pretty impressive moves (like a bold double OD Departure Combo), maintaining corner pressure with his JP.

GUILD vs. MOUZ

The competition went on with the fight between Guild Esports and MOUZ. In our predictions, we told you MOUZ were going to wreak havoc, and that’s exactly what happened. The game ended with a score of 30/10 for the reigning champions. Guild Esports didn’t have the necessary firepower to compete against Problem X’s team.

Thanks to a perfect knowledge of his fighter (in this case, Dee Jay), MysticSmash allows his team to maintain a most comfortable spot at the top of the leaderboard, next to 00NATION.

WOLVES vs. BMS

Finally, Wolves Esports faced BMS. After their victory against Guild Esports, there were hopes that Wolves Esports would make sparks fly again. Unfortunately for them, their French opponents regained confidence and ended their going phase with a perfect score!

Although Popi demonstrated remarkable gameplay last week, his Cammy was not able to defeat Mister Crimson‘s Dhalsim this time. The French player managed to keep his adversary under his yoke, dealing counters, cancels, and anti-airs that misled the Swiss/Argentinian player. In the end, multiple guard openings allowed Mister Crimson to do whatever he wanted with his rival.

As we enter the second phase of the competition, MOUZ and 00NATION are neck and neck with a tied score of 135 points. Last year’s Champions will have to be extra careful to keep their title. Next, BMS secured 120 points, allowing them to reach 2nd place. In 3rd place, we have BK ROG, the second French team, with 110 points. Finally, Guild Esports and Wolves Esports are at the bottom of the rankings, respectively with 70 and 40 points.

Nothing is won yet, but the second phase must be synonymous with focus and precision for some of the competing teams. No mistakes will be allowed!
