WEEK 8 – HIGHLIGHTS

Street Fighter League: Pro-EUROPE 2023 - Week #8 Highlights

The first matches of 2024 have just been played and a great spectacle has been offered for this new year! If you haven’t been able to watch them all, find below a summary of each match, as well as a recap of the current standings!

WOLVES ESPORTS vs. 00NATION

First, the showdown between Wolves Esports and 00NATION ended with a very surprising score. Revenge was sweet for the English team as they earned a well-deserved victory!

The player who shone greatly is Shivs. With his Juri, he silenced Lord_Venom easily, despite the latter playing his formidable JP. Thanks to an excellent reading of his opponent’s game, but above all a very good management of his character’s mechanics, Shivs won the match hands down. Vengeful Juri was clearly the fighter to pick for this epic encounter!

BMS vs. MOUZ

The evening went on with the most anticipated match of the week: BMS Vs. MOUZ. And again, revenge seemed to be the trend. Indeed, this face-off ended with the same score as the going phase match, 30 to 10, but this time in favour of the French team! However, this victory was not achieved without effort, as MOUZ defended their Champions title with grit.

The best example of MOUZ’s determination was given by MysticSmash. With his Dee Jay, the British player gave no space for Kilzyou to counter, which allowed him to deliver a perfect. Unfortunately, it was with some bitterness that MysticSmash left this encounter full of spectacular actions, as it was not enough to help his team win all the exchanges.

BK ROG vs. GUILD

The eighth week of competition concluded with the match between BK ROG and Guild Esports. Which team made the best impression? The French one by winning the match and securing 30 points.

The player who really caught our attention is Kusanagi. Faced with JokerJokez’s Cammy, he perfectly read his opponent’s game. The French player even took a gamble on a burnout to launch a deadly Super Art, with success. With an excellent understanding of his character, he managed to put his adversary on the ropes. Will Guild Esports be able to bounce back?

Driven by a great motivation, BMS have managed to take their first revenge on MOUZ. With a total of 230 points, the Frenchies continue to progress at a regular pace, currently leading the leaderboard. They are followed by 00NATION who unfortunately were unable to collect points this week. That said, this misstep is not too serious, as the Norwegians remain in second place with 195 points. As for MOUZ, they stay in third place with 185 points.

Despite a certain consistency, BK ROG have trouble catching up and therefore remain stuck in fourth place. Their latest victory, however, allows them to reach 165 points and thus narrow the gap with MOUZ. In fifth place, we have Wolves Esports who move up a notch with a total of 110 points. Finally, Guild Esports arrive in sixth place with 90 points.
